Adrian (Benedikt) Strohmer
I help (re)imagine and (re)build exceptional products to bring more joy to our everyday experiences. Here is a glimpse of my work.

Previously, I designed digital products and brands at A Color Bright. Through my work, I’ve advanced digital change for companies like ZEIT ONLINE, Highsnobiety, Netflix, Haufe Akademie, and more.

My Education
I studied Communication Design at Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences. My bachelor thesis Beyond Class explores how students can be empowered to be involved in extra-curricular activities across multiple campuses.

This project, which was supervised by Prof. Matthias Edler-Golla, and my academic performance were awarded the Oskar for Excellent Graduation.

My Volunteering
One of my best experiences was volunteering at TUMinternational, a student organization that facilitates hundreds of events for 2,000 exchange students each year. During my time as a board member responsible for public relations, I learned what makes a highly-rated event and how design helps with making it happen.

My Interests
I’m fascinated by language and the nuances of expression. With one of my passion projects, I wanted to investigate how language learning apps can be both effective and attractive. Find out how my custom Anki flashcard templates turned into an interface reinterpretation of the popular open-source spaced-repetition app.

I enjoy experimenting with technologies outside my daily work, applying my design sensibilities to domains like 3D and sound design.

On design
To me, design is about the desire to change things for the better. Design permeates through all aspects of life. In a world that is ever-evolving, design can shape the evolution.
I thrive on projects that challenge me to transfer and expand my skills to provide fresh perspectives and unexpected insights. In the business of change, I think it’s paramount to be curious and open.
